Tame-Raden-Nuri Aogai Lit. mother of pearl, Ra = Mother of Pearl, Den = Sprinkle, Tame = final coat of transparent "sakari-urushi" lacquer. TameTame means, that in this technique around 50 thin layers of transparent "sakari-urushi" are applied over polished mother of pearl, which turns the whole in a rich cherry red color tone
