Genshô-Nuri = celestial pattern lacquer. urushi lacquer made from circles alternatively sprinkled with powder of "tamahagane" Japanese Iron/steel and mother of pearl. This lacquer captures the beauty of a star-studded night sky with the band of the milky way crossing it.
