Kin Tsugaru Nuri
Description:
Kin Tsugaru - Kin = gold, tsugaru = „to draw or to pull“.
With a special spatula with holes thick pigmented urushi is applied partially on the pen bodies. After drying „kin“ gold powder is sprinkled and dried. Some layers of black urushi follow. Then the surface is ground flat to release the pattern. For
this lacquer I used „ohaguro nuri“ urushi pigmented with lamp
black which give it a slightly brownish tone
