ENBU Dancing in the Flames
Description:
ENBU means in Japanese “Dancing in the Flames”
As a tribute to Gyoshū Hayami was the pseudonym of a Japanese painter in the Nihonga style, active during the Taishō and Shōwa eras, I was inspired by his most famous work, Dancing in the Flames (炎舞, Enbu) dates from 1925
With a rough brush, flames are brushed on the ground and saturated with gold powder.
then ground and polished and covered by several layers of transparent “Sukurome” Urushi.
This lacquer is avauilable on all pen designs and sizes
