Hammered flat gold nuggets are laid into still wet “Shû Neri” red urushi lacquer.
Many layers of red lacquer follow. Then the gold nuggets are ground free and polished.
A fine layer of “Sukurome Urushi” trasparent Urushi is applied. One version is “Roiro Migaki” polished, the other version is not polished, matte “Nuritate”
